Why did College Ball or Bust get started?
College Ball or Bust was started in 2004 as a result of an athlete’s dream and desire to play college football. He and his parents wanted to maximize every opportunity for him to make that dream a reality. Lane Sinclair, a student-athlete from Memorial High School in Houston, knew he wanted to play football in college but witnessed other talented athletes before him go overlooked by recruiters and college coaches. Lane and his mom, Lisa, began researching for the next two years, hoping to find the most effective way to market Lane and his talent.
The two began by establishing Lane with a brand image along with a powerful web site address. The plan that they established had great success. Lane began receiving mail, college visit requests, and scholastic offers. In the end, Lane was awarded a Division I scholarship valued at $350,000 and two substantial Division III offers. The College Ball or Bust game plan worked.
