About Us

College Ball or Bust began in 2004 as a result of one athlete’s dream and his parent’s desire to maximize every opportunity for him to pursue that dream. Lane Sinclair, from Memorial High School in Houston, knew he wanted to play football in college but had seen talented athletes before him overlooked by recruiters and college coaches. Searching for the most effective way to market Lane and his talent, his mom, Lisa spent countless hours and energy learning the process intimately over the next two years.

By marketing Lane with a brand image and a catchy web site address: www.collegeballorbust.com, Lane began to receive mail, requests for game tapes, phone calls, home visits from recruiting and head coaches, and interest from DI, DII, and DIII schools. He ultimately received a congressional nomination and official appointment to the Air Force Academy and received an offer from head coach, Fisher De Berry to play DI football for the Air Force Academy Falcons. Many DIII programs offered scholastic scholarships to attend their schools and play football, as well.

From this experience, came the desire to assist other talented athletes in this very rigorous process. Lisa knew her efforts and two-year endeavor could be applied in helping athletes in any sport.
The earlier the process begins, the greater the possibility of success.
"Keeping your athlete in front of the prospecting coach is the #1 goal; whether it is for 10 months or for 20." College Ball or Bust grew out of the dream for one young athlete.

However, our dream now is to be the advocate for the many talented athletes who may be overlooked or fail to receive an offer simply because they do not understand the recruiting process. This is no longer a passive process. It requires a strategy and a personalized plan. The athlete must be proactive and we are here to provide support, direction, and maximize success.

This journey is one of the most exciting journeys you and your family will ever take. Realizing the fruit of years of work, dedication, and commitment to the sport you love is not only fulfilling but also often life-changing. The next four to five years as a college athlete and scholar will determine your future. It would be our honor to guide you through the rigorous recruiting process and celebrate with you as the doors open.
College Ball or Bust is Dedicated to You.
