Smith (6-3, 190), a two-year starter, is the Mustang's primary receiver. The American High football program is known for being a powerhouse in the Houston area and celebrates back-to-back district championships.

This season, Smith has 7 receptions for 141 yards and 3 touchdowns. He is poised for an incredible season as American High heads into District 19-5A play.

The multi-talented Smith is 6 feet 3 inches tall. With his height, and explosive vertical leap, American High coaches feel he has the edge on shorter defensive backs. In the 2005 season, he was named to the 18-5A Honorable Mention Team for wide receiver. He had two touchdown catches.

Smith is also the starting guard on the American High basketball team.
